SLK-Class
It’s all systems go for the “espresso” among Mercedes-Benz sports cars. After eight successful years of the R 170 model series, its successor will take pole position amongst compact sports roadsters. Featuring an improved vario-roof, the new SLK-Class is once again both a coupe and a roadster.
Roadsters that truly captivate the senses are few and far between. The new SLK-Class is one. Its arrow-like body, striking nose and breathtaking lines never fail to inspire. And the powerful new engines ensure it feels just as special as it looks. During the development of this new sports car, the emphasis was placed on increasing the dynamism and sportiness of the design, technology and equipment even further.
As a result, the SLK-Class impresses with dynamic powerplants, new manual and automatic transmission variants and a sporty chassis with direct steering for maximum agility. Whether the roof is open or closed, the compelling proportions of the exterior convey a sense of power and dynamism. The interior of the new SLK-Class is characterised by high quality appointments with a sporty look. The significantly wider range of optional extras includes a world first: AIRSCARF – a neck-level heating system which extends the top-down driving season.
It goes without saying that the proven strengths of the predecessor model have also been enhanced, an example being the new vario-roof which is now even more compact when stowed. It’s all systems go for the new SLK-Class!
