R 500 L
The V8 petrol engine brings together all the qualities expected of a Grand Sports Tourer: concentrated power, comfort and exceptionally smooth running. This is largely due to the three-valves-per-cylinder design. This makes room in the combustion chamber for two spark plugs, which ignite in phased operation according to the load and driving style. The more intensive combustion which results optimises fuel consumption and exhaust emissions.
